In breakdown, you play the role of a confused, amnesiac super soldier known as Derrick Cole who has awoken from a deep sleep to find himself in a labratory-like setting, and soon attacked by the military.
Throughout the time you play as Derrick, you will experiance weird, and mostly cool hallucinations pertaining to his past.such as little cats walking by,and his arms turning skeletal out of nowhere.
The weird thing about this game is,most of the time you play,Derrick does'nt even attempt to figure out about his past before his awakening, which causes the game's value to suffer greatly.
This game has a unique style of combat, which I believe is one of the worst parts. It gets difficult and frustrating to aim, even with the assistance of a auto-aiming system. It also has a hand-to-hand combat system, which is supposed to make things more life-like,but fails miserably at it.
The graphics for this game are pretty good, but sadly not much occurs in the game at once to cause it to spaz out...Which is a good thing on some accounts, such as no frame rate problems, but bad in the way that there's no REAL action.
The sound for this game I found to be great.Although the gameplay does'nt quite fit it,the music makes up for that real fast with a atmospheric tune.
This game was indeed a hard game,so if you heard rumors of it being so,let me assure you, that there true. This has to be one of the hardest FPS games i've ever played, but I believe that that has to do with the combat system...
As you play throughout the game, you will learn of Derrick's powers, and soon learn new ones which will aid you ALOT in your quest.
This game was very intresting and had alot of cool characters, but sadly was not kept together...Which would've helped increase the value of it.
I hope you guys enjoy the story as much as I did, cause I believe that that's the best part!!!
