A cinematic approach to Jurassic park that is satisfying, but slightly, well... different.

Jurassic park the game... so much promise. I have to say that for the most part, it delivered quite well. Playing is a thoroughly satisfying experience, and the moments of suspense keep you on the edge of your seat. Also, as you play you begin to really have an appreciation and liking for the characters. Story is a HUGE part of this game. The graphics are okay, and some of the death scenes are something that any direct male-line descendant of Genghis Khan would heartily approve of (Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy reference there :)

Anyway, on to gameplay.
The style of interaction can be hard to get used to to, but is rewarding in the end. The distinct impression that I get while playing is that of an interactive movie. While this was what I was hoping for, it might not appeal to everyone. There is a fair amount of puzzle solving, but at times, it become tedious and slightly boring. Also, at one point in episode 3, I have a sneaking suspicion that any answer you give will be correct...

Overall, a great game, a must-have for any JP fan. The reason it gets an 8.5 instead of a 9.5 is that the graphics could use with a little improvement, and the gameplay can become slightly tedious. However, this is NOT a reason to back away from the game. My only point is that you should definitely wade into this one. Watch some gameplay videos, and make sure this is the kind of thing you enjoy.

Overall, really, really, great. Especially coming from a fairly independent developer (Not a big-name like Ubisoft or Bethesda)
