It's yours... Jurassic Park

There have been some pretty mediocre Jurassic Park games in the past, but out of all of the other Jurassic Park games, Jurassic Park: Operation Genesis stands out. Instead of being an action adventure game as its predecessors were, Jurassic Park puts an emphasis on strategy by letting create your own Jurassic Park from the ground up. Some call it a Zoo Tycoon clone, but it's a lot more complex than that. You cant just simply purchase your dinosaurs. To get dinosaurs, you can have up to five teams of fossil hunters and you can unlock 3 fossil sites, what they find ends up in genestics lab, where DNA is extracted from the dinosaur's fossil for a certain amount of genome, the more genome you have, the longer your dinosaur will live. What ireally like about this game is that it really puts you in control of everything in the park, you can build certain attractions like viewing domes and viewing towers, as well as safari adventures and baloon rides. And you can even get in them to see what your customers see. I also like how it gives you certain situations that you need to handle, for instance, a twister may come to the island, so you will need to build visitor shelter to keep them safe. A dinosaur may go on a "rampage" and break out of its enclosure, so you will need to retire it before it gets to your customers. You will also decide things like the park admission price, what food will be served at restaurants, what souviners will be sold at souviner stands. The graphics of the game are realistic and colorful. All of the dinosaurs movements from walking to eating, are realistic and the models themselves are very detailed. However, one disappointing factor of the game, is that you can only unlock 2 fossil sites in addition to the default one that is given to you, this means you might not be able to have every kind of dinosaur you want, you may want a Trex, Spinosaurus, velociraptor, and a brachiosaurus in your park, but you cant, because their in three different sites you have and they're in four seperate ones. However, this shouldnt be enough to keep you from buying this game. If you can find it in your area, buy it.
