Jumpgate Evolution Darkness Falls Trailer (PC)

Kinda reminds me of Freespace meets Nexus. However, I think EVE Online is wayyyy ahead of this title.

It had a lot of potential and was nearing release last year June, but then it got held back with no explanation, subsequently the creative genius left and a few tweaks have been made on the original design. Yes it kinda reminds me a lot of 300 in the voice over, but I wouldn't build too much hope about release, don't watch it, just wait to see if it ever gets to release. Kinda not very loyal to their fans, kept everyone in the dark with a whole lot of disinformation about release.

reminds me of NEXUS, the only game I've never been able to beat that sht bugs me to this day!

@ Tankerr80 Make sure you know what you're getting into. Homeworld was an RTS and this is going to be a Space-Sim/RPG. If that doesn't bother you than by all means, I am excited as well. I was a little late to the Space Sim ball (born 1990) so my only experience is with Freelancer (150+ hours) and a couple hours in the X3: Reunion demo. But as long as this game is remotely user-friendly and doesn't fail in what it promises, I look forward to having no life over it =). By all means, they should have both the options of 1st person AND 3rd person along with full joystick/gamepad support. That should make everyone happy, yes?

So I did a little searching around and found very little on a first person view. Attention Codemaster, if you ever read this stuff (which you really should).. Not including a comprehensive cockpit and HUD will loose you thousands of potential customers! We are sick of 3rd person space sims!!

Does anyone know if there will be a cockpit view?? I am so stinkin sick of 3rd person space sims. I want a real friggin Space Sim!

Wow this looks like MY GAMES!!! I loved Home World. Now that I think it of it home world was my first space game I really loved.. HURRY UP RELEASE IT!!!

so much bitc*ing, it's a game that isnt out yet...and not to much known...But if you played the one befor this...you will prolly like this one. Imagine Eve Online....but not terrible :). GG

lol. its a MMO. M=Massive. so the WHOLE game is pretty much the server, means big running costs. its not like normal multiplayer games where it just serve's as a link between two computers. There are gameplay footages out there, seems interesting, will prob give it one signup worths anyways.

Would anyone really pay money every month to play this game? I have been playing games like this since Elite on the Apple IIe back in the mid 80s...I just cant imagine paying for this.

This trailer really is boring and empty. Some story or something would be nice...

I'd like to see some gameplay footage, I think it looks great and I am looking forward to it. I even signed up for beta.

Yeah very exciting seen, Freelancer is a good benchmark, just hope its not modelled on Eve-online too :(

Codemasters really doing this? It just seems like any other galaxy fighter game... boring video.

If this is anything like Freelancer, which seems to be the case, it is a definite buy.

oohhh space battles.. might as well have shown a freelancer video. nothing in this video makes the game seem remotely interesting. are they advertising dog fights in small frigates, because i hate dog fights.. reminds me of freelancer where the whole time your pulling back doing loops trying to hit your enemy.. boring... should show more interesting parts of the game, like how the ships are made and what your fighting for???
