This is a great fighting game that makes great use of the Nintendo DS touch screen. The idea of putting all those Shonen Jump characters in a fighting game is really awesome.

The game is divided in stages, like those you can find in games like Super Mario Bros 3. The first "world" introduces the player to the mechanic of the game. You are given certain tasks that you should complete in order to advance to the next level. If you can't read Japanese these early stages can be a little difficult.

In each stage and by completing the goals, you are awarded some "manga characters" and new goals. This is where the game really shines. By combining those "manga characters" you can make a "manga page" in which you have your main characters and support characters. If you combine characters from the same series, you can acquire new powers and make incredible looking combos.

The GUI for managing your "manga pages" or roster of characters is very straight forward. You are presented with a grid in which you can place your characters, that way you can make all the combinations you like. As you advance through the game more "manga pages" are open at your disposal so you can check some neat combinations and get ideas to make your own.

The rules to win (in normal battles) are easy, you just have to knock as many opponents as you can while avoiding to be knocked off. If you have played Super Smash Brothers you know the mechanic of the game.

The graphics and sound are pretty standard, although they get the job done. The action is fast paced and although at first is a little complex to control the characters and switch your main characters or use your support characters you get used to it.

Fortunately this game has a lot of replay value, because you can re play some scenes in order to accomplish all the goals and get all the characters in the game. Then you can make more powerful "manga pages".

This is a great game that is worth importing and if you are a fan of some characters from Shonen Jump this is a must have.
