This game fails to break the mold but is still a terrific game

I love racing games, but when I first heard about this game, it wasnt at the top of my "Games to Try" list, especially after Gamespot's below average score. But when I rented this game I loved it. The graphics were horrible and the sound track was mediocre but the gameplay definently made up for it. I loved the team racing, although the limit and lack of chopice of team racers made it annoying, it was still really fun to race in a team race and watch your crew win. I also took to the betting as this added some life to the otherwise storyless (aimless) game. And, although the tuning was far from being deep, I still always felt like I could make any car that I wanted. But one thing I truly love about this game is that, nomatter how long youve gone without playing it, you can pick it up one rainy day when youre bored and have a great time either continuing your game or staring a new one (Ive had this game for a little over a year and I still play it every now and then).

No, this isnt the worlds greatest racing game. But what Il ove about this game is that it tries to break the mold and, although it doesnt quite do it and is still overshadowed by some of the more mainstream car tuner games like NFS (which I dont like as much), it still gives the player one hell of a racing experience you wont find anywhere else...
