not bad, but not gonna blow you away

It was funny, I originally bought this game because it included a free ticket to Hot Import Nights car show. The price for a ticket to the show was 30 bucks and the game was 30 so I looked at it as getting a free game to go to the car show which we were planning on going to anyways. So, I got home and started to check out the game to find it was ok and became a guilty pleasure. It is far from innovative and not going to blow you away in any area but if you like to race it is worth owning. The first installment was horrible with very little mod options and very generic handling etc. but this sequel added a little more and at first it is fun. The modification of your ride is far from deep, and setups give a lot of room for error in your tuning but this is an arcade racer and you are aware of it. About halfway in the challenges become downright hard and some of the drifting events become almost impossible and will have you very stressed out trying them over and over. As the self proclaimed king kong kar guy that spends almost as much time working on cars in my garage as I do in the video games I can recommend this game if you get a good deal and want a little somethin different in an arcade racer. If you are looking for a gran turismo or forza type of game you wont be happy with this one, and if you lust for the modification depth of the NFS undergound series you will be a bit let down and there are better games to put your money and time into.
