I did not own the ps3 version of this game. I was skeptical of buying this for $15 on psn store as it's just a 2hour or less game and it's just a 1080p released of a 3 year old game!!!. Watched some gameplay and it looks quite "okay" and it feels nothing really special. But I was eventually convinced by some of the comments and reviews complimenting how beautiful, unique and breathtaking the game is. And to my surprised they were telling the truth!!.
The gameplay was rewarding, great exploration and discovery of the game's world.
I fell in love with the artstyle design, the character, the soundtrack.
The sand animation was perfect!. I love how the sand sparkles in the sunlight.
And the smooth jumping/gliding with your magic cloth and your scarf indicates how long you can glide.
Your gliding and scarf becomes longer when u collect a shiny light (not sure what it's called).
As you travel, you might meet another player playing and you can help each other complete the journey.
Within that short hour, Journey tells a story. It is done uniquely and beautifully that is rarely applied in any video games. It is a worthwhile experience if you want something that has an outstanding visuals and to have a unique journey.
