Green Outfit?

I don't know but I've played with one or two guys with a white/gold outfit, aka te giant guys in the cutscenes. I als noticed that my "robe" has a fancier and fancier motif on it every time i complete the game.

Where did you run into him?? if it was in the latter part of the caverns it was probably just a white cloak who looked green because of the lighting. that's what they look like there.

There is no green robe, only red or white.

Were you in the underground water area? I've noticed my white robes sometimes look sea green there. Other than that, if you played the whole game with some wearing green (in good light) and for sure it wasn't your tv tint screwing with you, maybe you played with one of the game creators who pimped their wanderer? I know if I made this game, I'd make special robe only I could wear (dark purple or blue with a silver ribbon on it) just cuz I could. :p
