Journey Question

Can you die / get a game over? *Spoilers, but probably not*

I thought that this game was going to be great, but then I heard that you had to hide from monsters. I've bought and downloaded the game, but haven't played it yet. I'm reluctant to even try because I could possibly get pwned by a monster while trying to relax and explore. Could someone tell me if I could possibly die or lose because of game ruining monsters? If so, I'll probably contact Sony and demand my money back, I really don't need to have online partners chewing me out every time a game over happens because I potentially suck at this game. Too much stress.

I read a Game Informer review, there was a pie graph that showed what percentages of stuff they did. It had a part that was 10% that said, 'Taking cover to hide from floating serpent creatures'. Sounds pretty stressful to me.
Accepted Answer
There are serpent creatures that will attack you and tear your scarf, permanently reducing its length. However, there is no way to get a game over besides quitting. You avoid the creatures by staying out of their spotlight.
