I just finished part 6.

Seems like the only 1 left alive is the young kid.
The rest is dead??

what about those look alike people that the kid met when he came back??

so can anyone explain to me??

everyone is "dead" from the last universe. they are technically the same people, but they are different versions of them because that universe happened in a different way from the original

You mean the kid is still in the new universe created by the priest??

I thought the priest said that those who were killed in the last universe, will not appear in the new universe.

He meant they won't be the exact same people. They're still the same, but the only difference could be as little as Jolyne being a day younger or something.

The new universe is like the old universe, but there are some subtle and some blatant differences. Just think of it as an alternate reality. Everyone that exists in one reality exists in the other reality, but their appearance may be slightly different, maybe even their gender, and the choices they made in life are different. The same people that existed in one universe will exist in another around the same point in time. It's basically some form of reincarnation.
