The only thing I'm not digging in the game, is the whole "Doge Pose" gimmick, since it seems like it would slow down the action quite a bit. I can see it being cool the first few time, but I think watching the animation over and over will lose it's novelty quickly. Also, let's hope the feature is not abusable.

I like the dodge mechanic, but it depends on how it's implemented. If it's timing based (somewhat strict) or takes meter, I've got no real beef with it.

I don't think you'll see it that much because it takes meter and meter has so many more important uses, especially if you're using a Ripple user who basically have EX versions of their specials

Oh that's pretty cool then. I guess the horror of the "Substitution Jutsu" just made me worried about the dodge mechanic in this game. I'm most likely going to main a Ripple user (Joseph or Jonathan, and Caesar if confirmed), so I'm gonna keep that in mind.

im still of the persuasion that Caesar isnt in the game, maybe if they do dlc down the line maybe, but i still think he isnt going to be in the starting roster.

Dodges are timing based and so far in both demos I found it a little difficult to pull them off at times.

It's probably the same timing as the substitution mechanic from NU3 - Strict timing (just right before getting hit) and takes meter.

I've had 10 mins a piece with both demos, pulled off the dodges, the timing feels closest to SF3's parry timing.
