I did watch the movie 'Jimmy Newtron: Boy Genius' and thought that it was a bit different and more enjoyable than the traditional Nick crap. The game, which my younger brother baught because he loves the tv show, is very generic, but not quite as bad as some other platformers I've played. The graphics are mediocre at best and the voice acting is pretty bad. The gameplay varies a tiny bit more than some other platformers (Crash Bandicoot, Finding Nemo) that I've watched him play. Sure, it's mostly loyal to the movie, but the gameplay is pretty dry. Basically, you collect things, jump across platforms, rince and repeat. The fact is, unless your five years old or absolutely love Jimmy Newtron, you're not going to find much to get you interested in this game. Even longtime fans should only rent it, not buy it.
