An insanely fun game to play. That dog is so cute with a rocket launcher on his back.

This game was missed by a lot of gamers, and I blame them for that. Jet Force Gemini was one of the best games to come out for the N64. It still is great. I am waiting for it to be released on the Wii virtual console. There is just something satisfying pulling out a trirocket launcher and blowing bugs apart. Or letting them have it with a machine gun and watch the ichor fly. Insanely fun.

Violence isn't the only draw to this game. Jet packs, player specific puzzles and areas, special abilities, oh, and a little machine that follows you around and fires lasers (if you have a friend handy). You get to disguise yourself as the enemy in some areas and in one place you get to go to a giant evil ant dance club. Tell me that isn't ten kinds of awesome right there.

One of the best features of this game, besides the wide range of fun weapons and the great story, is the replay value. This game encourages you to take each character and play through every mission with every character. Juno, Vella, and the dog each have special and unique abilities that allow you to access different areas that the others can't get into and get various objectives, keys, or upgrades. Also, some weapons are unique to one path, so you'll have to take the others along that path to get those weapons.

The game never gets boring, and with the high replay value it's a huge hit. The only small complaint I have to offer is that some voice acting would have been nice. However, it doesn't take away from the game at all. I just wish they would make a sequel to this awesome game.
