Jeep Thrills delivers on cars and tracks, but the CPU is easy, and it leaves wanting something more.

GAMEPLAY
This game has an easy CPU. For example, I've raced 236 times, and I've won 197 of those races, an 81% win percentage. I would suggest an easy, medium and hard CPU mode. Another obvious feature this game lacks is a rear-view camera, so you can see your opponents behind you. Something I don't like is when you crash into a rock or a fence, you flip over, ala NASCAR 99. It is very unrealistic, probably the most realistic thing on this game. Even with these flaws, the cars look very real (although they probably don't drive real), and the tracks are long, so there is hours of gameplay that keeps you entertained. Multiplayer is good, but it would be better if it kept the all-time win-loss records, instead of starting over each time you go on the game. 5/10.
GRAPHICS
The graphics aren't too pretty - they look generic and are very choppy at times - but they get the job done. Despite the choppy graphics, the environments look realistic, and they are very interactive, with many shortcuts you could use to your advantage (and disadvantages). I wouldn't say the graphics are nearly as good as Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit 2, but the environments are enjoyable, but at the same time, don't distract you from what the game is about: racing. 7/10.
SOUND
During gameplay, engine noises are loud and realistic - and if you've ever heard the engine of a real Jeep, you know that they're obnoxiously loud. Music is very good, but that's probably because there aren't any lyrics - and that's probably a good thing. Minor sound details are pretty good, with the sound of glass shattering whenever someone rams into your back bumper (which happens a lot). Tire noises are present, but they seem to be random, and aren't very relevant to the situation or the game. 8/10.
VALUE
This game was bought brand new - for a whopping $9.00. I don't care what you say, I don't care how many defects this game has, most brand new PS2 games go from $30.00-$40.00. So that makes this a MEGAVALUE, considering I've spent 100+ enjoyable hours on this game. But if there is a knock, there's this - this game rumbles when it is loading, so that makes it prone to scratching. DO NOT spend more than an hour at a time on this game, at least not when you've owned it for a while. That's the best way to stretch its value.
BOTTOM LINE
Gameplay may be easy, and graphics may be choppy, but this game is what it is purposed to be: a good racing game that can keep your attention for many hours. At $9.00, it's a tremendous value. If you want a racing game that's cheap and entertaining, but not too flashy, pick this game up.
