An interesting game to discuss...

I am a huge fan of the movie Avatar, and although I haven't played the next gen console version of the game adaptation, I have played this one. This game is an interesting one, but to me it feels another game I own, another Avatar game (this of course being the TV show Avatar on Nick) for the PSP. This one feels like that game as instead of being a first person shooter or a melee game like the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii (if I'm right) editions of the game, it is an action adventure game. It's not bad, but it just didn't feel right.

For one thing, the story isn't the one from the movie and that kind of sucks. They should've had the story of the movie as the focus for the home console systems and have the one they did use for those systems on the DS. The DS game has the player controlling a young N'avi named Nok through the world of Pandora. I haven't played through the whole game yet, but as I assume, you look to see why the creatures of Pandora are acting strange (due to the interference of the humans).

The control works well for the game, and that I don't have problems with. But, it might be hard to remember what you're supposed to do if you start the game up again and you haven't played it in a long time. The fact that this game follows another story different than that on the home console versions of the game is rather awkward. They should've had that on the DS and have the plot and characters from the movie in their games. That's just what I think they should've done. I mean, Avatar is the highest grossing film of all time, RIGHT???

But, I don't hate this game. It's a good one in its respectable genre. This game might turn people off because it doesn't follow the movie that well, but they should still try it out.
