A more darker and brutal sequal to Sands of Time.

Here's the story so far for Warrior Within. Due to the prince releasing the sands of time, he's now pursued by a relentless monster known as the Dahaka who is guardian of the time line. So the prince feels that by going back to the past he can prevent the empress of time from ever creating the sands. Then the Dahaka won't have any quarrel with the prince.
The game is a mix of action and puzzles. The puzzles are usually environmental puzzles where you make your way around the area by running up walls, grabbing on ledeges, swinging around poles and so forth. The prince is able to do a bunch of moves like holding down R1 to run up walls or run along them or swing. He's pretty acrobatic. When it comes fighting you learn new combos usually when you recieve a new sword to fight with. If you can successfully pull these moves on enemies than you can kick some serious ass and make it look good.
Every so often you'll be chased by the Dahaka. And you better run your arse off because if he cathces you, you're dead. If he catches you and you've collected sands, you can just reverse time by holding down L1. This is very useful for a lot of things like falling to your death where you can just reverse time and try to correct your mistake. You can only reverse it for so long though and if you run out of sand then you're in trouble. You can collect sand by killing enemies or breaking jars and you can increase you sand jars too. Health wise, you can regain your health by simply drinking water.
There is a bit of frame rate issues though. The game will slowdown in some parts and there is also issues with the camera too. This game hasn't frozen on me though so that's good.
For those who loved the first one, you may love or hate this one. If you don't like this new darker prince who's more brutal, I don't know maybe you should rent it first but for those who loved games like God of War then this game will appeal to you.
