Jake Hunter Detective Story Ghost of the Dusk is an engaging murder mystery that's mostly a visual novel, but the story itself makes the game worth it. There are some puzzles to solve as the game progresses, such as finding hidden clues, and there are interrogations that involve selecting the correct piece of information as you question someone, although there is not really a penalty for a wrong question. The player just needs to find the right question to progress the interrogation, and get to the bottom of the murders.
Overall, Jake Hunter Detective Story Ghost in the Dusk is an enjoyable title with an incredibly long title. Once the player finds out who committed the three murders, there is a sense of accomplishment. The game's story keeps the player engrossed and determined to figure out the culprit. However, it is a rather niche game, in effect, the target audience is a small, if dedicated, one. This game comes recommended.
