A great twist to its platformer parent series!

A wonderful game that could have went further. After the end of Jak 3 Jak & Daxter are now thrust into a racing competition. This leaves behind the many components available in the previous games from the series. Jak seems to no longer possess his weapons or eco powers to assist his endeavors. Instead the player must now use various racing vehicles and powerful pick-ups to finish first in the events leading to a brutal rivalry and a dazzling conclusion that leaves you hanging. The ability to upgrade your vehicles and the various events circumvent this games downfalls. Add in the multiplayer and it makes a great game. You're instantly pulled in, swerving around corners and speeding towards the finish. The AI also brings some fairly formidable competition that sometimes obliterates you right before you win stealing away your victory. This is definitely a game that will intrigue fans of the series as well as new ones.
