Jak's back with an attitude...a bad attitude.

User Rating: 8.8 | Jak II: Renegade PS2
Jak II is the obvious sequel to the original Jak & Daxter, but the minute you notice the cover and the T rating, you'll know you're in for a whole new experience. Jak & Daxter end up in grimy Haven City, where Jak ends up in prison for two years. Daxter eventually sets off to break Jak free and Jak manages to talk this time. The gameplay has a GTA feel where you are free to go to where you please. The missions are the meat of what to do in the game including protecting allies, retrieving items and others stuff like that. The game can get very tough at times, which can be very frustrating.

The gameplay is great and so are the graphics and sound. Visually, this is one of the best looking PS2 games I've ever seen. It has superb cutsences and huge environments with a large draw distance to boot. Soundwise, the best comes from the phenomenal voice acting, because all of the lines sound spot on. The rest of the sound best qualities come from the guns Jak has and able to get.

If you were a fan of the original game, you'll love the this game, but if you want a great action adventure game, this should be in your collection.

The good: Some of the best PS2 graphics, amazing voicework, good variety of gameplay, really hilarious at some spots

The bad: Frustrating difficulty, Jak's obsession with killing and blowing stuff up may have been a little too sudden
