Before getting into the game, I feel a larger point needs to be made: I have been following the development of this game since BitComposer took over the franchise. The original Jagged Alliance 2 was one of my all time favorite games... ever. There are a lot of other die hard fans, whose passion, I feel, has made it very difficult for them to accept anything different than what they remember loving. That seems closed minded.

Yes, I also loved JA2, but I am willing to accept that the 'redeux' is going to be different, in an effort to make it better. I'm open minded to what the developer's trying to do, and then I played the game.....

I love this game. It is addictive. If you like squad based, tactical games, where you can plan your assault in countless ways, you will love this game. It honestly does live up to the legend. No, its not JUST LIKE the legend, but it does successfully follow in the spirit... the mercs, the laptop, the finances, the battles, the militias... A.D.D.I.C.T.I.V.E!

ONE PIECE OF ADVICE (even for seasoned JA fans) - do the tutorial. Not because the game is overly difficult, but because the controls need to be understood for you to properly play and enjoy the game.

Most of the haters basically stuck on the fact that this game is identical to the old one... its not supposed to be. Stop being such a complaining snob... this is a well done game. Lets not discourage the developer... there aren't that many doing this type of work.
