As i was playing this game on the PC, I could not help but feel that it really would have been better on a console. I had played both Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and its sequel (both from Bioware, as is Jade Empire) on the PC, even though those titles had console versions. I found both Star Wars games to be easy and fluid on the PC, and I never missed having a console with either of those. Perhaps it's the fast clicking of both mouse buttons in order to effectively attack, or the fact that switching combat styles seemed difficult on a keyboard, or the fact that you can't pause the game to stack combat commands. With this game, however, I really longed for the simplicity of an Xbox 360 controller in my hand rather than the keyboard and mouse. This isn't to say that I found it to be extremely difficult, but rather just a little bit clunky; a little bit rough to control. Other than these minor mechanics, the game plays very nicely. The familiar Bioware story touch is there, allowing you to choose a path of darkness or light. The companions are well-written and their interactions with you main character can be quite interesting. The storyline itself is well thought out with numerous twists and turn to keep you guessing as you progress. It's a good game, and well worth playing, but if you have an Xbox, you may prefer that interface more than this PC version.
