Honestly, I enjoyed this game a lot more than I anticipated

For me personally, Jade Empire was a great game, no doubt about it. The battle system grew on me, the storyline was well done, and the atmosphere was convincing. My biggest gripe with the game probably revolves around a lack of support-character development. Overall, however, Jade Empire still struck me as quite an enjoyable and satisfying experience.

Ever wanted to be a kung-fu master? Jade Empire allows you to experience the journey of a young pupil destined for 'great things'. The game doesn't really start out with a bang; initially, I thought the game was going to be pretty average. The graphics weren't necessarily ground breaking and the appeal just wasn't there. As time progressed, however, I realized how wrong I was about the game's value. Rather quickly, the story became great, the battle system evolved, and I eventually found myself yearning for more.

As previously mentioned, probably my biggest complaint is the lack of character development. Especially considering similar games in the genre, it just 'wasn't there'. Despite this, however, I still thoroughly enjoyed the game. No doubt about it, Jade Empire will remain in my mind as a general success.
