The best overhead racer ever made.

I remember this game in arcades. Most people don't know the name, but if you're over the age of 15, chances are you've played it.

It's an overhead racer game on a track that you take your tiny little sprite cars and go over jumps, dodge oil slicks, and grab nitro boosts. Pretty much everything that made the old-school overhead racer is in this game; it's amazing how many current clichés spawned from this thing. It remains dear in my heart, and if I can find it anywhere. I’ll play it like there’s no tomorrow.

The controls and multiplayer attitude of this game is phenomenal. Up to three players can grab their own wheel and race side by side sharing the one screen. It’s the game that everyone remembers... vaguely. Each track differs enough for great replay value, but the greatest experiences are when you get your friends and compete against each other. The only problem current gamers may find is the frustrating difficulty of the harder tracks. You’d think a game with such a simple design would be easy, but it’s not.

I do have to say that the only good version of this game is the arcade version, though. Don’t bother with any other versions; they may be decent, but they’re just not the same.

This game is pure fun. If you ever find it and laugh at the crappy graphics--spend that quarter. You’ll be surprised.

This is truly one of the better racing games out there, despite it's dated nature.
