Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors II Hints & Cheats

At the title screen press and hold Up on both controllers and then press Start on controller 1. If done right, you'll have 255 continues to spare.

At the title screen press and hold Up, B & Select and then press Start. Enter any shop and play the bonus game. If done right, the skull will always fall into the cups in this pattern: 1, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4, 3, 2, 1, 4, 3, etc., etc. You can make lots of money this way.

Enter the following at the Enter Secret Level Code screen...

When you only have one life remaining and you get your password change the fifth character in the password to a ''J'' to start with two lives instead of one the next time you play.

Change the 5th letter in any password to an N to begin with 5 lives.

Normally when you finish a level in Wizards & Warriors 2 (by grabbing a piece of the Ironsword) your character will lose the magic power gained to kill the level boss.

Before you grab the Ironsword piece at the end of each level, position yourself on top of the exit door. Turn to the left to face the direction of the sword piece, jump, and fire your magic power so that it grabs the Ironsword piece for you. If done correctly, Kuros will land on the exit door as soon as the piece of Ironsword is obtained, and he will enter the next level with the magic power he used to kill the last level boss.

This is especially helpful since the magic powers can go through walls and grab items, including the golden items each level guardian asks for to allow passage to the second half of the level.
