Pretty good, but not much to go crazy over unless you're a fan. (Which I am!)

Feudal Fairy Tale is a pretty good game, with decent controls and nice 2D graphics. But you might get pretty bored with it if you don't already have a big Kagome poster by your bed in your room that you drew yourself(yes, referring to me).

Story--It's got Rumiko Takahashi(this anime's creator)written all over it, and you can take whatever paths you want, which is good. There's some comic relief thrown in, too. This almost doesn't apply to Inuyasha, but Japanese voices tend to be a little more expressive than the English ones in these kind of games and cartoons, besides the fact that I love how Japanese sounds anyway. Still, I wish Bandai would've put an English track on this game, because Japanese with English subtitles is all you get here.

Gameplay--Pretty decent. This is a fighting game with decent controls, A.I., and a normal amount of fun. The story changes depending on chosen characters and is interesting along the way. There are special moves and whatnot, and the fact that you can steal people's shards for better moves is a good thing. In addition to a normal versus mode essential to all fighting games, there is a tag battle mode as well, and the characters react as accordingly to the relationship they have with the characters in the show as they tag in or out, which made battle a bit more interesting.

Graphics--The graphics are nice and 2D-y. The characters have a noticeable amount of detail, and the animation is great. It really helped me feel like Kagome while I was playing. The story map has these cute, tiny anime things that look like characters to represent them. They are not actually animated while they are talking between battles, but the believable face expressions for each sentence and great Japanese voice acting make up for that. Fighting environments are also good, they have an acceptable amount of detail and would mostly be ideal places to fight.

Sound--This game sounds good. The music is very fitting to the feudal Japan environments, and is good enough so as not to make you want to shoot your ears during gameplay. SFX are well done, and the voice acting is excellent, although I wish it could've been in English in addition to the Japanese it already has.

Value--For a fan of this, you will probably melt the disc from it being played too much within a few weeks(mine doesn't work anymore either...). But non-Inuyasha fans could still enjoy this for a while without getting too bored. The story and good gameplay could make sure of that.

Tilt--An original game, but mostly because of the fact that it is based on a very successful anime. Some things like shard stealing and the storyline contribute to this as well.

Overall, if you are not really a fan of Inuyasha, it would be of no shame to buy it for yourself, although there are other games that might interest you a lot more. If you ARE an Inuyasha fan, give this game a 9.0, turn off your computer, and go to a game store NOW.
