A fun distraction from daily life. For a little while at least.

There is a mysterious temple ruin on an ancient island hundreds of years in the future. A legend says that a war was fought between two different races. Now to stop all that from happening again and save the world from humanities flaws, someone must sucessfully farm and learn about how wonderful life is without taking advantage of it. In order to do this, a professor created an artificial human-an andraoid- to work on the famr and save the island from certain death. In order to worship and love life for what it is, you must first leadn what it's like to be human and understand emotions like love and hate.

This Harvest Moon game is not like the last Harvest Moon games players are used to. Unlike other ones, the storyline is more deeper and takes place hundreds of years in the future. It's also more of a strategy than a sim, and farming isn't the main idea this time around. This time you have to love and get love in return to help the humans learn that life is the greatest thing of all, and to not hate one another.

Too bad it's extreamely dull and boring. Things go by way too slow this time. Certain objectives have to be reached to activate events like in most games, but too bad no one tells you what you have to do. The gameplay is over repetitive, and nothing new happens like in other titles from the series. Everyday is the same-wake up, farm, bed. That's about it. You only start to get animals about 5 hours into the game, but come on, they are cyborg animale. No one wants atrificial mechanically enhanced animals on their dinner plate.

The graphics are terrible, but what do you expect from a PSP game converted into a PS2 game at the last moment. The storyline is deep, but the game has no gameplay at all in it to actually enjoy. Repetition makes people get board after first turning the game on, and things go by too slow.

If you want a good game in the series, I reccomend Harvest Moon: Save the Homeland for PS2, Magical Melodey for the GC, or any other game that isn't on a portable system. It's good for a portable game, but is enjoyless as a game on a bigger system.
