Initial D mountain Vengence Price: 20 Bucks Where: Wal-Mart I was a bit skeptical about this game, as I had not seen any screens from gamespot, no reviews, and hardly any mention of it. I first discvered it on a random Initial D search on the net. It looked promising until I read "Valu-Soft" - Cheap game came straight into my mind. Essentially Initial D is a cheap game, but one of the better ones out there. Tired of sticker faced Skylines in Need for Speed? Wondering where the AE86'S are? This games got clean cut models and textures that faithfully represent the shows color, depth, and sound. Yes the firt few stages you'll get to hear the inital d song over n over. English version not the Japanese one. Eventually you learn to drift and build your character with a simple but fun stat development page. Learning curve some have said "omg i cant drift in this game" but yes u can (only took me 3 minutes to get it down), and u can do it damn great. No smoke but trie marks and sound give you a good enough feeling. Drifiting a trueno down a hill has got to be one of the upsides to this game. And whats great is you get a full game for less than half the price of a commercialized backed one. Nitpicks: * Music could be developed a little faster * No Multiplayer (Which would have been the most fantastic idea, think of telling your friends u drifted all over their faces) * Quick Race driver stats BLOW Conclusion: A great value-soft game, with great drifting, faithful Initial D representation. If you liked the arcade game and the anime, get this. Then again I might be all jittery still from D1. Shout out to Ueo!
