Its not the best space combat sim there is, but its definitely worth playing.
At the begin the game will seem a bit confusing, at least in the battle mode and in the spaceship parts assembly, but you will get used after some time, mostly with the help of the tutorials that you can acess in every city but even so, those tutorials aren't complete, like, i spent 2 hours trying to figure out why did i began with 2 space ships but could only take 1 into battle, and no one was explaining me why, and that was nowhere to be seen in the tutorials.
In graphics this game is pretty, less for the animations of the lasers from the spaceships that look rather bad, the sounds arent so bad either and the gameplay of the game is very simple, you jump from planet to planet with a random chance of encounter between the jumps like any rpg, your spaceships don't level up but you can upgrade them by buying new pieces in shop, the combat system could have been better because you have very limited options, you can move forward, back, shoot special ammos, board the other ships with the melee command, dodge, barrage and normal shots, so it feels a little short in the battles, but even with just these commands, the battles are fun because they can be a little challenging and strategic, that is, till you buy bigger ships and start getting more commander slots to be able to bring more spaceships with you.
The really cool parts of this game are probably the customizations of the spaceships, the storyline doesnt let you down either, and even cooler, you can assign each of the members you get to a positions inside the spaceship, like commander, artillary chief, navigator, controller, medic and alot more, wich feels really cool because it gives you the feeling of being a real commander choosing who does what.
This game is pretty good and fun, if you like games with spaceships you will probably enjoy this, but take in mind that you dont have a direct control of the spaceship, you only control to move it forward or back and shoot, but its still pretty fun, giving you a feeling of wanting to progress to upgrade your ship and get stronger.
