    I think that GameCritics harsher sounding review on Infamous (giving it a 6.5 out of 10) is how I feel, compared to the other reviews here. It was just lacking in various areas, such as the story, whose cut scenes were really brief. In many of the side missions, when you talked to the strangers, they just told you in 10 seconds or less what to do and you went on your way. How realistic is that? C'mon, Sucker Punch. You could've done much better than this.

    And GameSpot and others somehow praise its storyline? Please. The characters are really forgettable, as far as things go. They're been better examples of moral systems in games, particularly in Pen and Paper RPGs like Baldur's Gate 1&2, or Planescape: Torment. The consequences are far and few between that I hardly have any incentive to progress further through the game (even if the powerups do seem pretty cool).

    I'm sorry, but as a gamer who is heavy on storytelling, this just doesn't cut it for me. If it were a little bit better and took its time to explain each mission better and why I'm doing whatever I'm doing, then I'd see that more as a passable reason to finish the game. Sadly, the story is even below decent or average.

    And bear in mind that a Metacritics score is more of an indication of how well the critics enjoyed a game, NOT the gamers themselves; gamers are way more diverse than that, especially when not everyone reads reviews or goes out and researches the different kinds of games out there.

    @Zero Kull
    You sound like a 10 year old if you think that a game sucks because its not violent enough for your morbid fantasies.

    I find it very funny how Infamous was released more or less at the same time as Prototype, yet it just looks like a cheap copy.

    People, if you want to write your opinion, then there's a reason why Gamespot allows you to write reviews.

    F***ing piece of sh!t, i am afraid of heights and this game is making it worse lmao xD.

    This game isn't that good, if you're like 10 or 12 maybe yes, but for older gamers like me, there is nothing new, the stages are to dark, you can't see what's coming when you're under the city and even on easy is hard not to get kill xD

    It's a lot of fun to play, but the platforming gets stale extremely fast, the story is not interesting enough to keep one's attention, and the quests get extremely monotonous by the end of the first third of the game or so. A game like this needn't be so lengthy. It could have wrapped up in half the time it did, and it would have been more worthwhile scrapping a lot of the repetition.

    Though I knew that it got 9.0 rating I never thought it would be a great game until I played it after getting free at PSN. And I have to say that this game is much more than just mindless action. You will love this game. Also this game is not even short so that the fun will last for a long time. If you are considering it, please get it. This game is pure fun. Story will always keep you interested and action is just superb. I will surely play part 2 after finishing this one.

    Does anyone can tell me if this game has some kind of online multiplayer?
