Spider-man meets Fable meets Gears of War

User Rating: 7.5 | inFamous PS3
Exploring the city by jumping from building to building makes character seem like he's Spider-Man (without the webs and swings). Sliding along cables and using electricity to fly great lengths is a fantastic experience. Different attack options and using obstacles to take cover behind seems very much like Gear of War. Allowing the main character to choose between good and evil paths reminds me of Fable.

Although originality isn't the InFamous' forte, the combining of these ideas concocts a very amusing gameplay experience. That is, until it becomes far too repititive. By the end of the game, I found that I was constantly having to battle spawned enemies that tested my patience and waned my interest in concluding the story-line.

By the time I did finish the game, I was so tired of it that I did not care to start playing InFamous 2. What was a great start to the game resulted in me losing interest in the series and moving onto something different. Still, I highly recommend playing the game until it gets to that point. Enjoy the fun while it lasts.
