A great action game which shows how great a hero or villain could be.
In Infamous you play as Cole a person who started of as a normal man to a human weapon. A big explosion happens in the city and it turns out Cole was delivering a item called the ray sphere and that's what started everything. Cole gains electric super powers and ends up with the choice to use the powers to help the city and dieing people or use them for your own evil purposes, and the choice is yours. So the story starts of with Cole and his bud Zeke tries to escape the dieing city. But then Cole gets captured and is told if he helps this woman named Moya, she will get Cole out of there and clear his name.
In Infamous you will blast people with amazing powers. You can blow them away with a shock wave, zap them, throw electric sticky grenades, or crush them with a huge lightning strike. What ever move you use they are all a joy to use. It gets even better when you combine the powers which is a blast. You can also glide with your hands and ride the power lines. You can also upgrade your powers with the points you win from defeating your enemies. But the most interesting part of the game is the Hero/Villain choice. When you be a hero all the people will love you, the city will start took look better, but it may be harder. You need to be careful to not kill civilians, cause if you do, you will turn evil. But if your a villain, civilians will try to kill you, the city will crumble, more sick, dying people. Your lightning will turn red AND your skin and body will turn into a evil grayish color and your vains will turn black. The biggest part of the evil, good thing is the ending and the ray sphere. CAUTION! SPOILERS!!! The biggest choice the evil, good thing is to either or not unleash the ray sphere's power. If you do your power will become more power and your lightning will have a black streak in it. But if you do unleash the power your comrade will die. So great power to make your life easier but kill your comrade. Your choice. The second best thing about being good or evil is the ending. Either be the hero of the city ,or be the ruler and know that no one is stronger than you.
Now whats bad about Infamous? Well not to many things, but those little things are kinda big. The biggest one is glitches. You can start the game, start a mission, take a long time to get somewhere and once you start the mission the game lags and you need to restart everything. Restart the console, load the game, go to the mission, start the mission and end up having the game lag again. It does not happen a lot but when it does happen it is not fun.
So you have a great 20 hours in the story. PLUS the side missions which you will want to do to make yourself more evil or good. PLUS you can hunt for the scattered blast shards around the city to increase your electric abilities. PLUS you can play the story twice to see the good side of the story and how the bad side of the story goes. PLUS the time you use to blast all the tiny, weak people they are. PLUS the time you spend blasting enemies who want to kill you. As you can see their is a lot of things to do in Infamous. I think this is clearly one of the best PS3 games ever.
