After this, you would wish all the developers explore supernatural sides to their games.

User Rating: 9 | inFamous: Festival of Blood PS3
Festival of Blood is a standalone episode like game using the infamous 2 engine. As you would expect it plays and looks like infamous 2, which is a very good compliment as its big brother is one of the best open world superhero games out in the market. The episode is one of those special episodes you get that doesn't quite fit into the storyline but tries to explore a different side of the world, and succeeds.

Directed by the 2 time a**hole and 1 time idiot Cole's best friend Zeke (sorry couldn't forgive him after the infamous one incident), the game throws players into a dark vision of the world. Just like infamous 2, the game takes place in the city of New Marais (modeled after the southern city of New Orleans) but...something is not quite like before though. You see New Marais is having a festival, sort of similar to the Halloween. The city is decorated with skulls, demon signs, fire torches and its citizens dancing and partying the night away dressed in all manner of creatures from the underworld. In amidst of this festival, a true horror awakens…Bloody Mary: a very powerful ancient vampire who was burned to the ground by righteous determined priest and his band of holy men. She is already pissed as it is and the bloody bit before her name isn't helping the cause of the folks of New Marais a bit. Cole's rich in conduit blood powered back Mary to her bloody self and which in turn, turned Cole into the creature of the night. Mary sets the timer, Cole has to find a way to stop Mary before sunrise or otherwise all hope is lost, not only for the people, but for Cole as well as he will forever be eternally damned as a blood sucking vampire.

The game has cool new powers, one which turns you into a flock of bats and giving you an avenue to fly around the city, which is pretty cool and blends well with Cole's other powers.

I had a blast playing this game, my only complaint after finishing this brief but awesome side story; I was hoping Sucker Punch instead released a more full-fledged lengthy expansion like episode instead of a short adventure. This because I found it very entertaining and felt it was rushed to finish the story which was begging to be told at a much slower pace than Sucker Punch wanted to tell. Yes it is very short and will take you around 3.5-4 hours, but it is well worth it.

After playing this and the other successful supernatural venture from Rockstar Games through Undead Nightmare, here is hoping more and more developers try to do crazy things with their games like these guys have done. Just because it doesn't fit perfectly, doesn't mean it won't be fun.
