A good facelift and other improvements make the second installment of the Infamous series a great game.

inFamous 2 is one of those games that you can always enjoy. Fighting, exploration, free running and karma all come together to create a fun and entertaining experience.

Story: You play as the super human Cole that can control electricity and you have to kill The Beast that will destroy humanity. Because The Beast destroys Empire City you run to New Marais and began preparation to face the imminent threat. While the story is not impressive there are still interesting characters and major decision that can change the story and most importantly the game-play.

Game-play: Using your free running skills and a decent arsenal of super powers you fight for control of new Marais. As with the previous games your action will determine the powers you posses. Also karma will open or close missions, change the way you look and the decision you can take at certain points. Also some decision will determine what kind of secondary power you can use. Running, jumping and gliding are a blast and are better implemented that the previous game. Fighting is also satisfying even if you always feel a little bit underpowered regardless of the powers you unlock. Boss fights, and other special monsters fights are just great and are the strong point of the game. Missions are good and well paced. While there are a few recurrent objectives overall mission are varied enough not the feel repetitive. Aside from this, there are also good/ bad random events(kidnapping, robbery, medical emergency, police suppression etc.) you can encounter everywhere in the world and that help you reach desired karma.

Graphics: the game looks great. Everything got a decent facelift especially Cole and the major secondary characters. Animations are great and most of them feel natural. Models are nice, some are well detailed while others are simple, yet they still look great. When fight almost all bosses the game looks great as both you and the enemies do major damage to city and this looks great. Powers look great and it is very important because you are going to use your power a lot.The only issue is the fact that there are a incredibly small number of enemy types(approx. 4 types per faction) to fight.

Sound: the music is nice and reflects the situations you are in. The city feels alive, even if the environment is not as loud and lively as it should be. Voice acting, especially for Cole and Zeke is just great, while for other characters is good or at least decent.

Overall: the game is very fun and looks great. There are a lot of things to explore, bonuses to collect, enemies to fight and mission to complete. Characters are interesting and make up a decent story. Fighting is great and aside from some small issues is satisfying and non linear. Karma dependent choices and mission give the game a high playability and the mission editor is just great for adding new content to this enjoyable experience.
