A great game that does not beat its predecessor.

Cole Mcgrath and his beer belly friend, Zeke, are back! And they look better than ever. Lets do a run down. Story, The beast comes and (as Cole) u must prepare to fight it. Sound, it has a new twist to it and I love it! Graphics Cole looks great! But the people around him don't compete. When I got this game I was so excited! I loved the first one and I was hoping this one can top it. Sadly it didn't, but came very close. Okay now lets go into detail about the story. So at the end of inFamous 1 u find out that a Beast is coming and u have to prepare for it. In Infamous 2 the Beast destroys Empire City Cole has to collect these blast cores in the new city New Marais to enhance his abilities. I liked the aspect of it, but it was very rushed and I couldn't enjoy it very much. Lets talk about the gameplay now. Cole can get these upgrades (good or bad) you can get new kind of bolts, like bolt stream, blast bolts, etc. And you can upgrade your wave blasts and other things. I loved how they mixed it up. But all the fight was to me was a watered down inFamous 1. But what really caught my attention was the Amp (a melee weapon Zeke makes for Cole) that was really fun to use! There's these swamp monsters that you have to fight throughout the game, the amp really comes in handy when they do pop up. The enemies you fight aren't Reavers or old hobos that have powers anymore, these guys are imbreded hicks that have ski masks and rpgs. The parkour is dumbed down from its predecessor. Its a little more boring. Later in the game you get to pick what secondary powers you want, Ice, or fire. I had a blast with blending the two it was fun. Lets go to the sound. Lets just say this, Cole's voice was more annoying than I thought it was going to be. Sometimes his voice sounds really cool like in the first one, and then other times he sounds like a 12 year old going through puberty. But to patch things up the music is one of the best sound tracks I've heard this year. It is so majestic and unique. Now lets take it to the graphics. Cole looks really good and so does the scenery, but the side characters aren't the greatest looking. The side quests get boring and repetitive. But there is plenty to collect. My favorite part about this game was the UGC (user generated content) it allows you to create your own missions and share them online. There is plenty of options and can keep you interested for hours. This game was really good, but not as good as the first one.

Story: 7.5 Was to short and didnt have enough meat to it, but still kept me interested.

Gameplay: 8.5 There's a new twist with more upgrades and funner things to fight with.

Sound: 9.0 Coles voice was agitating, but the music is great!

Graphics: 8.0 The surroundings and Cole were great, but the side characters aren't the greatest...

Overall: 8.5 I loved this game overall, but the first game was a little better.
