An uninspired game with broken combat and puzzles bound to bore this game lacks it all.

User Rating: 3 | Indiana Jones and the Staff of Kings DS
Where to begin. I decided to give this game a try because of the Indiana Jones name behind it. I was very skeptical going in I found I was right on the money. The game itself is a shallow point A to point B game with the occasional find X key to open the next door or passage. There is a combat system built in but it has been worked horribly and probably would have done better using the standard arrow pad + buttons combo. By the end of the game it comes down to blocking and then spamming attacks hoping to break through the random block enemies throw up 80% of the time. The puzzles in this game are some of the easiest ive seen and even a young child should get a majority of them in no time. There are a few which are easy yet badly explained and are difficult more because of confusion than of actual complexity. The visuals in this game are decent. For a 3D game they do fine but they are nothing to gloat over as many other games look a LOT better. This game is marred by bugs and glitches as well, from choppy character animations to falling through the world on multiple occasions. The story chugs along at a very nonchalant pace and never really picks up or slows down. Playing this game on easy was as it states ... easy. UP until the final fight. I am a veteran gamer who has no problem playing games from god of war to Deus Ex on hard and doing well enough to beat the game in the end. But this boss fight is ludicrous. The game goes from a walk in the park to borderline impossible. After trying the same battle almost 40 times I am about ready to put this on hiatus. This is the sole reason I give the game a hard rating. Sure 99% of it is a breeze but its never fun to get to the end and not be able to do that last boss fight to see the ending ... and this game has that exact issue. Heed my word, if you plan on buying/renting this game expect extreme frustration at the end.
