Great Dancing Game...Better than DDR

User Rating: 8.2 | In The Groove PS2
In the Groove is a dancing game where you have to hit the arrows with your feet when they pass over the cue bar. It has a great song selection, from rap to classical. BPM ranges from about 100-320. The songs on In The Groove are actually much harder than the ones on the DDR Series. There are 4 main modes in this game.

The first one is, of course, game mode. In game mode, you play the songs and try to earn more.

There is also a mode called Marathon Mode. In Marathon Mode, you play a set of 4 extremely modified songs without a stopping break.

One more mode is Battle Mode. You can battle against a computer or a friend(if you have 2 dance mats). What you do in this mode is play songs just like normal, but when you start getting good, the computer/friend will get modifiers. However, the same happens to you when your opponent gets good.

The Final Major Mode is Workout Mode. All you do in Workout Mode is dance to the music and it tells you how many calories you are burning off due to your weight. The downfall about this mode is the inaccuracy of the calorie rate. One time it said I burnt off 1000 calories in just 10 minutes.

Overall, I do reccommend it and it is definitely worth its price tag of about $35.
