I like call of duty 4 because of the stealthy missions and the mission where you get to blow people up with the AC-130H Gunship. If they make a Call of Duty based on world war 1, the missions would be lame... In world war 1, to gain victory, Generals sacrificed millions of lives just to get past the German trenches and the results where not satisfying.
Brothers in Arms looks like the kind of WW2 game ive been waiting to play, although i wish you start out customizing your character... Like Rainbow six. i always love that in a game. after Rainbow six game out, i was like wow they should do a WW2 game like this... next thing i hear, thats what their doing.. i like the fact that the COD 1, 2 and 3, all had a story to follow, and even though COD4 did, it was pretty lame... online is the best thing about COD 4.
Okay, I think World War 2 is still a good topic for games, but we need to advance, such as Medal of honor: Airbourne. They took ordinary WW2 combat and added an airborne twist, and the result was good! But honestly I'd like to see more korea and vietnam games but with extras that most games don't have such as: Destructible Enviroments, realistic damage modeling, realistic NPC A.I., and...I don't know what its called, but the system the people that made "Gears of war " used, you know; where you can hide behind cover and stuff. In my opinion though, we shouldn't make more Modern day shooters, because of the war (the real one :P) and all, my father is in the military and the last thing he wants to see from coming back from afghanistan is advertisements for games about the war. But what we can do is modern day shooters, but with no relation to the war, like SOCOM or Ghost Recon.
WW2 is a little tired, but only because so many publishers have made terrible ww2 games. What we need is a ww1/korea/vietnam game that kicks ass as much as cod4 or company of heroes (proof that ww2 isn't tired yet)
If you ask me world war 2 is cool because it allows you to have tons of set plays witch we all like, and its a great memorial to the soldiers who have died. on the same hand tho there is only so much ww2 we can handle. The reason COD4 is so good is because infinity ward made it, infinty ward isnt making COD5 so it definetly wont be as good, it will still be a ok game because it is going to world war 2, but Im waiting for COD6 because its going back to modern war fare.
WW2 has been played to death. Please move on, unless your gonna make a some what decent looking one.
Bah. Instead of World War 2, why don't Call of Duty 5 be set in World War 1? BTW, is there a World War 1 FPS there?
I agree with rocky, brothers in arms hells highway is so the coolest and most realistic game so far. And yes WWII games are awesome
i realy want to play brothers in arms, its look like its a good game with the graphics and destructible cenarios but COD 5 should be in WWII, the WWII games are realy cool
i think its time we think about the soldiers of today that died and continue with modern warfare. dont forget the men who died in WWII, but start thinking about today
COD5 is going to be WWII? I realize WWII was a war worth fighting for, but come on now, let the dead rest is peace. They've done all they can with Nazis. The well has been run dry. Look at Turning Point for instance, that game is virtual Diarrhea.

I must also agree with VanHallo and renknram, im not really a big fan of COD since, well u never die. But i am a big fan of BIA since i have the two first i cant wait for the next one. and i also happen to know of a WW2 shooter with high realism if thats what u want, check out Hidden & Dangerous 2
I agree with Vanhallo, I have been playing Operation Flashpoint GOTY for over 6 years evento this day I'm not bored. From being an infantry soldier, special forces etc, drive T80's, Abrams Bradleys & BMP 2's, fly Gunships a favourite of mine was the Mi24 Hind, I loved playing large maps called Battlefield & another one Called RiverBattle (40 players online), you have to capture key towns and reinforce them with amour and infantry, the thrill of my team mates shouting on teamspeak that they want Air Cover asap, as the other team convoy of amour are descending on em, you would hear the whistle of the mi24 tumbling out the hills flying low & fast strafing and rockets, @ the same time taking small arms Sam's or AAA, If I flew any higher than 60m you could guarantee getting shot down by the AAA Vuclan's or shoulder Sam's, I always hugged the ground & kept close to the hills, it was awesome, I know the graphics are not up to par for present day games, but who cares when a game like this had so much tactics, strategy but most of all the openeess of this great game. Don't get me wrong I'm gonna enjoy COD4 & looking forward to the online modes, But the Best war game out there for me is Operation Flashpoint, & when OFP2 Red Rising Releases rumours have it Spring08 or October08, I have also read it will be using the Colin MCrae (R.I.P.) Neon Graphics engine. This will be the definate one for me, So Roll on Toca 4 (Best Racing Sim), Lastly i would love to see IL-2 Sturmovik released on the 360 for my no combat flight sim touches it.
I'm not really a fan of shooters. Hell I'm not really a true gamer. I mostly fly flight simulators such as MSFS2004 or MXFSX. With that said I also has to say that I'm a fan of realism. So if there a game with brilliant realism that happens to be a kind of a shooter then I'd look it up. Of the above three it's only BiA that caught my attention since I reckon neither of the other two included any realism what so ever. I mean in call of duty, the guy runs around and is probably hit by 10-20 bullets atleast during that short video clip. What happens? Well nothing really, he's still running around as if nothing happened. Some people appreciate that, well I don't. If you could die by a single bullet in real life then I want to die by a single bullet in the game as well. If you in here feel the same way as I do then if you want a realistic ww2 shooter go with BiA if you want a realistic modern warfare shooter then go with the brilliant game operation flashpoint. I'm waiting with excitement for OF2. I haven't played a more realistic shooter then operation flashpoint: cold war crisis. With one single good shoot you could kill the enemy. The same the other way around. After awhile you actually beleive yourself to be in the game so I'd like to say that this is not a game. It's more of a simulator. Do not start about how ugly the game looks, it's several years old but still I can't see any game that actually could compete with it. Therefore I'm waiting for the second one.

Screw COD I'm tired of it. Another rated T for teen war game. Scripted, on rails, hop on a mounted machine gun and 30 guys run out on cue bull$***. War is supposed to be hell, so how about a little realism? Screw the kids, I want bloody bodies with limbs flying around with a soundtrack of agonizing screams and artillery fire. and don't get me started on BIA...
i definitely want all 3 of'em. and yeah, probably the ones coming on after 2007. afterall, we gamers DEMAND great shooters!!!
Very good games..i think army of two would be an intense game to get and play multiplayer..shame about other games not mentioned especically halo 3..one of the biggest modern shooters going..just imagine how big it would be if it was on pc, ps3 and the wii aswell of course its only for the xbox 360 thought..shame really.
Not to mention all the killer games they did not emetion here: PS3: Rachet&Clank Future: Tools of Destruction Wipeout: HD Burnout Paradice Beowulf Killzone 2 (Please be a FPS this time and not a crapy top down game) Xbox360: Mass Effect Halo3 Eternal Sanata Halo Wars (RTS game not yet released) Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation Both systems: Front Lines: Fule of War Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Unreal Taurnament: 3 Battlefield: Bad Company Army of Two Black Site: Area 51 Man with so many cool games comeing I don't think I have the cash for allt this! Also there are some great handheld games comeing as well: PSP: Wipeout: Pulse Secret Agent: Clank (Rachet&Clank game without Rachet) Silent Hill: Origins God Of War: Chains of Olympus Final Fantasy: Crisis Core Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops + At least those are the ones I care about for the systems I will have by November 2nd this year.........

Oh man! I know. There's all sorts of sweet games coming out soon. Crysis, COD 4, Unreal 3, Army of 2, SOCOM, BF BC, TF2's already out, fuels of war. I don't think I'll have enough time and money to play all these games
I would buy CoD4 just for the graphics alone, and the multiplayer will be sweet to with all the perks. But only a few months after that Battlefield: Bad Company and Frontlines: Fuel of War come out, I think I might hold off on CoD until I see what BF:BC looks like. Yea Yea it's an EA game, but this time around it has a brand new game engine and the enviroments are 90% destructable....even on multiplayer. From the actual gameplay I've seen so far this game is going to kick ass. Too many choices and not enough money!!!!
COD4 will be my 1st 360 shooter, probably shortly followed by army of two because me and my friend love 3ps shooters together, i want all of these shooters but these 2 are topping my list
BROTHERS IN ARMS ROCKS. The first one is one of the best games I have ever played, especially the multiplayer, holy crap...awsome. EiB kinda sucked ill admit but this coming one looks like its gonna kick some serious ass. Destructable cover-Hooyah!
COD is a definate buy for me. Beta looked great and played great. I actually am excited about Ao2 for the co-op - but I have been burned by EA before - so I will have to wait and see.
