Probably, the best Super Nintendo Action-RPG.

User Rating: 9.6 | Illusion of Gaia SNES
This game was released on 1994 by Enix, and it's the second game of the trilogy Soul Blazer/Illusion of Gaia/Terranigma. This is game is definitely underrated; games like Terranigma, Secret of Mana or Zelda: A Link to the Past are well-known by everyone, and this is not. Why? We don't know. The graphics are pretty good, there are solid pixels, a well designed characters & bosses, and the move of the water is the most wonderful I have seen on a SNES. Some nice backgrounds and animations accompany too on the game. The soundtrack is not the best of SNES, but it has good songs, there are 3 or 4 that you will remember. The sounds are good too but there is a fun thing; in some games of Enix like ActRaiser, some audio effects are the same :P The story situates as a boy called Will. His father has dissapeared in an expedition to the Babel Tower and he wants to find him. But that's not all, you will see the true story when you go trough the game. In the way you will meet Kara, a girl that is a princess and wants to see the exterior world. In the travel will be some Will's friends with you too and you will see all kind of scenes (love, sadness, joy...). There are really a lot of feelings in this game. The game's end is one of the best I have seen, you get totally impressed. The gameplay is excellent. You can control 3 characters (Will transforms into Freedan and Shadow, but it dissapears when you go out of the dungeon) and each one gets special moves during the game. There's a plus on this game, the Red Jewels. With this jewels you can raise your abilities. It's really difficult to get them all (fifty in total), but if you do it you go to a secret dungeon, and you fight a boss that it's a Soul Blazer boss (remodeled of course). In conclusion: It's a game that resides in your memory forever. It has great moments that you won't find on other RPG. Note: In Europe this game is called Illusion of Time.
