B-Movie Fun

If you were ever over to my house, yes I know this will not happen, you would see my collection of DVD's. It is a combination of Simpson DVD's, Aqua Teen Hunger Force and horror movies. My collection runs the gambit from the high production to the video camera specials. Some of the most entertaining are the low budget B-movies. This was the thought process used for this game.

I picked up this title after the announcement from Sega that the Dreamcast system was being discontinued. All DC games dropped heavily in price and any game you wanted, even new releases was $20 or less. I do not remember what I paid for this title, but it was not much.

I was interested in the title because of the campy horror possibilities that the game may hold. And I can tell you, the game is campy.

You play the game and enter an amusement park that has several horror movies themes to them. Each theme is like a mini movie each with a unique end boss and horror element. The sub-stories of a lot of the movies can be pretty funny, but nowhere near scary.

As other reviews may have stated, there is not a whole like of combat in this game. There is more focus on puzzle solving and avoiding the beastie chasing you in the mini theme. In that aspect it is more like the Clock Tower series.

This is not a great game by any means and you will have a hard time locating a copy, but it is a fun and unique game for a now dead system.
