@cegab It does, but at least in an intentional self-mocking way. Sentences like "This is what I get for joining a group on moe girls in such a cliché adventure" are common on it.
@csward Provably because It's made by a group of 5 companies (so they put little money each) and they have a quite loyal fanbase. You make the exact number of copies to cover that fanbase and... there you go. :)

First, it's my free time (I don't own a PS3 but I'll be on their side for this one) and I can spend it however I want. Why don't you tell about your free time and how you spent it. I'm sure I can retaliate with elaborate insults, too.
Second, and it somewhat overlaps with my first point, if you're displaying such arrogance, it must have a source, no? Are any of you dating supermodels? A model at all? A nice girl from school that could potentially be a model? If you answered "No" to all of those, then how much money does your bank account have, and what's your income? If you answered "Average", then why are you even voicing yourself?
Come on. If this is not arrogance, it's hated. People who play a game to enjoy themselves and a company that cashes in. What do you have against them? What accomplishments do you have that give your "criticism" (insults in disguise) any weight?
@iDefinition Didn't you know? giving a point if for smart people. Insults is all that remais for the rest. You find a lot of the lastest here.

Checked this series out on Game Rankings. It's not even rated in the US regularly, and the only one with more than 8 reviews got a 60 average on 20 reviews. A game that sells itself purely on sex appeal is NOT a good game. That's rule number one. Bible-Fking-Thump

@OreoPoptart I'm guessing a lot more than you would expect, since it seems this is the fifth in the series.
I mean, this series goes a bit too far for me, but I actually gave a try to a weird game in which most characters are cute girls called Atelier Totori, and I found a really nice JRPG, now I'm playing Atelier Meruru. But it gets just the right amount of moe that allows me to proudly say I played them.
I wouldn't admit I played a Hyperdimension Neptunia game if I did, though.
@andrescapo_ actually it is only the third. The V is literally for Victory, instead of being the roman numeral for five (V).
