I'm an old school gamer. First game was wizardry and been playing ever since. Couple of years ago I got my wife into playing. We did Titan Quest, WOW, and any Multi player game that we could. I got this one cause the multi-player and me and the wife could go at it. At first she almost quit cause of the controls and the way the game felt to her. I took on the gal character because her Bow skills were not to good and she the bulky hero. Anyway, as we keep at it it became more and more enjoyable. We would get to a place and she say, "We are never going to get through this one" But we kept at it and sure enough, we'd get through it and high five followed... We played every other night for a couple of hours and it's just been a blast. The graphics grow on you and it's been one fun ride, running from a huge spider, to solving riddles. It has just enough story not get you bored and enough varied action sequences not to get to repetitive... I was going to give it an 8 but after I thought about it, I've played the Witcher 2 and Dragon Age and on and on, and thought those were pretty good games. But around the middle of each of those I got bored and stopped playing before I fished them. I'm giving this a 9 cause we made it all the way to the end and we wanting more! I don't know what the Gamespot guy was smoking when he reviewed this game or why I see low reviews from some of you. I enjoyed the hell out if this one and only hope they make another!
