An engrossing story, addicting and satisfying gameplay is just an addition to Hotline Miami's visuals and soundtrack.

I... Can't describe Hotline Miami in a good way in under 10 words other then, "The 80's In A Nutshell On Some Heavy Acid Trip". And that's what Hotline Miami is. An acid trip.

But damn. It's a good one.

Story : Some psychopaths in a gang (?) with a wonderful cast of messed up druggies and weird characters filling up the character list. 8/10

Graphics : This is where Hotline Miami shines. It's shroom induced style is so unique and utterly psychotic that it's impossible to look at it and say that is sucks because it's pixel-y. This is an art house of gaming. 9/10

Sound : The soundtrack. The SOUNDTRACK! 9/10

Gameplay : Probably the most addicting gameplay of any game next to maybe Plants vs. Zombies or something. Super brutal. Extremely violent. Incredibly fun. Boss battles are really tough though. 9/10

Difficulty : Hotline Miami is pretty tough, but that only adds to the surreal enviorment since it's brutal and unreliable. It's also very fair... Except for the boss battles, which are a little frustrating.

Overall : 9/10 - Excellent
