Fantastic fun for almost anyone!!!
This game appeals to a wider crowd than just avid golfers. The colorful characters and simple controls allow you to play this game with your child, your date, or even your 80 year old Aunt Margaret. Once they leave and it's just you and your PS2, you have hours of challenges ahead. The Tournament and vs. Mode yield gradually more difficult challenges and interesting scenarios. When your buddies come over, you can use multi-play mode or play a par-3 course or even miniature golf.
I personally have tossed Tiger Woods 2004, 2005, and 2006 aside becuase I need to make 6 different maneauvers with 8 different fingers to simply hit a big draw down the middle. Hot Shots Golf Fore! follows the popular line's history of a 3-tap system for swings and a 2-tap system for putts. Draws, fades, high shots and punches can be produced by pushing a directional arrow during the swing. Game physics are phenomenal. Balls fly, bounce, and spin just like real life. Very impressive to the golfer and non-golfer alike.
Gameplay is wondeful as well. Controls are simple but not easy. The screen is very user-friendly. Every ounce of information from distance to wind and lie angle to club selection is laid right on the screen at all times.
Bottom line : This game is great to play alone or with friends. For the price, you'll get more fun out of this game than possibly any other.
