Horse Racing: A safe bet

What would you expect from a game that's called Horse Racing? When I bought the game I expected that I would be controlling a horse directly and guide it over the finish. However, that's not the objective of this game.

The objective is to become the richest player of the party. This is done by means of betting on a horse. You would need to take the length and type of track into account, as well as the winning chances of the horse. Two horse can be influenced. You can make them faster for a short period of time by using the whip. This doesn't mean your horse will definitely win though.

I'd say this is a perfect multiplayer game. Up to six persons can bet on a horse, thus making this game somewhat of a party game. I've experienced cases in which we were screaming a the screen hoping that our own horses would win.

Suspense and excitement are part of this seemingly simple game. Even in this high-tec generation of game consoles, every now and then I open a beer with my friends and play this game. I rate it an eight for it's fun factor, and it most definitely deserves this.
