Well Taito TypeX system gave great masterpieces in arcades founding its success on classical 2d graphics. Apparently one of these games passed by unobserved in favour of already seen mechanics of Raiden iii, this game is that i will go to review.
When i put disc on my ps2 and turn on a loud loading process accompanies game introduction where i can adjust from pal video to ntsc video, not bad.
Game can be configured mostly in each area but game is really hard so i reccomend to start game from easy difficulty levels to ascend to most difficult ones to avoid frustrating situations.
But game is not frustrating at all, you have to learn game mechanics to succeed.
You pilot winged man armed by arrows (infinite) and a trusty sword.
Arrows result in your standard shooting (you can keep pressed button for rapid fire in spite of reduced speed) while sword is your secret weapon.
Sword acts in 2 ways: shoots back enemy projectiles and slices nearby opponents, this last move if hit a enemy starts a automatic chain reaction in which your man goes nutz and slices all and i say all enemies on screen at once. This tecnique will result fondumental to reach high score because serves as multiplier and lead directly to best ranking game has of course.
For every shooter fans this game is a good diversion i found myself playing more for reach high scores and mark them in rankings.
This game is for 1 player only
