Check out how the U.S. fell to a new superpower.
@Venatorcruiser I simply don't understand how the Koreans immune to economic effect of widespread conflict in Middle East and build their military. Kim Jong-un can conjure a magical gold, iron and oil in huge quantity, I presume?
Alright it's just a game. Still, the image that the Koreans could take over my country and it's S.E Asia neighbor (with a combined population of over 320 millions) in a year or two is ridiculous and quite offensive. Anyway I wonder.. how Emperor of Japan "endure the unendurable" in Kim Jong-un wild party?
Sorry, but this could never really happen. I mean NK is this small country in the middle of nowhere and their military ain't nearly as good as ours.
@l33tek Actually I have seen both of those movies and they are both far, FAR more plausible than this (Red Dawn less so than Apocalypse Now).
@tooki Obviously you've missed the punchline and have never seen the movie Red Dawn(possibly because you are not old enough) or Apocalypse Now, if so, you would know the guy who wrote those movies, wrote this game's storyline. So, STFU it's just a game.
@lukehitschins That's completely untrue. Before WWI Germany had already defeated France in the Franco-Prussian war and was perfectly capable of supplying itself and fighting an all-out war. For much of WWI it appeared that the central powers would be the victors and the primary reason the central powers lost was because they ended up getting out numbered. After WWI it is absolutely true that Germany was devastated, but by WWII they had economic and agricultural independence, and a strong industrial backbone that North Korea simply does not have. If you don't understand just how poor and brittle North Korea really is, let me put it you this way: The ratio of GDP per capita in East Germany compared to West Germany was 1:3 before the reunification. If we were to compare North Korea to South Korea, that ratio would be 1:17. This is a country which simply does not have the resources (nor the collective will) to engage in a drawn out military struggle and it would take a hell of a lot more than a few years to change that. And that's really only the tip of the iceberg. This game's premise is so ludicrous I would go so far as to say a zombie invasion is more probable.
@niteryder1 Too bad the story is terrible. Seriously, anyone who knows anything about world politics knows how ridiculous this premise is. If it were China, maybe (although extremely unlikely because it would be economically disastrous), but North Korea--no way. You people do realize that North Korea has been on the verge of starvation for the last 20 years right? The only reason North Korea doesn't collapse today is because China supplies it with a huge proportion of its fuel and food--and China doesn't even particularly like the DPRK so it wouldn't take an all-out world war for them to pull the plug..
Error of context: In 2011 (which is today) North Korea is INCAPABLE of hoarding that many atomic weapons. They simple cannot build that many due to their lack of resources. Currently, they only hold about 12 nuclear warheads... If they can ONLY have 12 nuclear warheads, it is IMPOSSIBLE that they can even have OVER 1 000 missiles... these facts makes me not like a game.
I like the idea of the story of this game. But I don't think the graphics or the atmosphere of the game can compete with the other shooters.. Battlefield 3, crysis 2 and KL3 .. all these shooters and epic. Can't talk enough about Battlefield 3 last video.. can't wait for the next one 2moro.
well THIS was pure awesome video editing skills , if the game's not gonna be a hit I hope they make a movie out of this. great stuff. (not that it could ever happen) but still.
omg this is like so accurate lol with how this sort of thing will go about happening.. looks like some of it is already happening lol and it all started in 2011 here
wheres the review? i wanna see if its close to my review. IGN gave it a 7 and I gave it a 7.5 so I was pretty close :D
