- Hard
- Time Spent:
- 20 to 40 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Worth playing"
Hard - is when playing Guerilla difficulty, where you make a mistake and you die!
An average game but a very good FPS. A poignant story excellently scripted and narrated. Convincing characters and immersive voice-acting. An excellent choice of weapons to despatch your foes with. While you can only carry two weapons, you can use grenades and C4 explosives in some areas.
Only seven missions but all possess great variety, in a Red Dawn type setting. In fact if youve read the book or seen the film and wanted to play a game in that type of setting, then this is definitely worth a look.
You also get to control UAV drones to destroy enemy armor from afar, and ride in the gunner cockpit of fighting vehicles. The action may be over quickly, but it is intensive and will give you an adrenaline rush for sure!
It provides more than a worthwhile experience. One that should not be missed. Theres at least two or three replays due to the achievements. And then there is multiplayer (still active). If quality over quantity is your thing then Homefront is for you.

Homefront isn't bad, but with a SP Campaign of less than 3 hours, and a bit of flaws, this game is far from great.

Good story. Recommended for casual FPS players. Need some high end PC.

Has great potential as a new series, but as bait for more, too short.

A horribly over scripted game that locks you into silly rushed assaults and infinite enemy reinforcements.
