I don't understand all the praise for this game. The ideas are great, and the locations and important characters are all well done... but the controls are about the worst I've ever come across. It's so clunky and awkward. I can't even think of another game with crappier controls off the top of my head. It ruined the game for me. Absolution is so much better, there is no comparison. There are a few changes to the core game that the real hardcore fans of the older Hitman titles don't seem to like, but IMO it does everything amazingly well.
Yes it has a multi-part linear story, but there is still an incredible amount of freedom with how you can handle each situation. All of the same gameplay elements are intact, and in fact much improved. Even more freedom for making strategic choices than the previous games! All-in-all, I would even go as far as to say Blood Money sucks bad in comparison to Absolution.
@miker00lz I forgot to mention that I play it on the PC. I have no doubt the controls are clunky with a 360 controller. Hitman is made for mouse + keyboard since you have a lot of key-binding and need to be very fast and precise for headshots.
@flesh19no @miker00lz For me Blood Money was great! 9/10. You had a lot of ways of killing your target, a lot of replay value. Absolution 8.5/10, it was ok but something is missing, perhaps its because I had high hopes for it.
I also play them on the PC and controls are perfect.
@miker00lz Wrong: Hitman Absolution; Can't lock doors, disguise system is ruined, the game is linear, maps are smaller with lot less options. The game usually forces you to do violent outcome. Some levels you just have to walk from A to B (boring). Many times you can't kill your target, the cutscene do it for you. In one mission I killed a maid, but in the cutscene she came back to "life". So many mistakes ruines this game. HA is linear, scripted and boring.
And the story makes no sense either. Why would 47 kill her? If you finished Blood Money you would ask yourself that question too. Blood Money was Hitman perfected. I hope number 5 will be better.
