User Rating: 8.7 | Hitman: Blood Money PS2
THE GOOD: Huge environments. Challenging A.I. Variety of weapons and items.

THE BAD: Steep learning curve. Frequent retries. One mishap can foil everything.

Hitman: Blood Money is a clever stealth action game worth checking out.

GAMEPLAY is exceptional. One the coolest things about Hitman is it gives you the choice to do virtually whatever it takes to get the job done. Each level is completely different from one another so it never feels like it's repeating itself even though the objectives are very similar. As Agent 47, you are briefed on whom to assassinate as well as other objectives. Since each level has many things going on, how you manipulate the environment can make or break the job. For example, instead of sneaking into a room to take out a target, you could poison the food or plant explosives.

Blood Money also has a wide range arsenal for those who don't like to take the subtle approach. My personal favorite are the SilverBallers which are upgradeable and customizable dual pistols. These bad boys can be silenced for stealthy hits and pack quite the punch. Of course, there are several other types of pistols, shotguns, semiautomatics, and rifles. Not to mention items like bulletproof vests, pain killers, mines, detonators, and the silent and deadly fibre wire.

What's more, Hitman: Blood Money has an excellent story that keeps you engaged throughout the experience and those who haven't played previous iterations will still understand what's going on.

GRAPHICS are great. All the environments and character models are 3D and are sharp and detailed. The CGI cut scenes are fantastic and since each level takes place at a different location nothing looks recycled or generic. Blood Money is quite impressive from a visual point of view.

SOUND is fantastic. The music fits Hitman well and every location has a different score. The sound effects of explosions and gunshots are great and realistic. The plentiful voice acting does a good job at livening things up.

VALUE is good. Blood Money will take about 10-20 hours to finish the first time through. Since the game has a steep learning curve and smart A.I., expect to retry frequently. The good news is you can save at anytime so you won't be restarting over from the beginning every time you make a costly mistake. Hitman does have some replay value to revisit previous levels for the sake of fun and getting a better score.

OVERALL Hitman: Blood Money is a fitting end to the series. It has an engrossing story with fun and addicting game mechanics. Those who can adjust from its steep learning curve will find an extremely satisfying adventure that is highly recommended.

Note: I wrote this review thinking it was the last of the series, but who knows for sure and I welcome more Hitman games.
